Mixed 3D & 2D approach
The animation blends 3D worlds with 2D characters brought to life through detailed rigging and compositing in After Effects. Whenever a scene called for more cinematic camera motion, we shifted to 3D-rigged characters to push the sense of space and movement.
2D Run Cycles
Jess’s run cycles throughout the animation were cell drawn by hand or traced from rough mocap.
To close the film, the animation flows effortlessly into a continuous 360-degree rotation of the development — designed to loop perfectly and take pride of place on the website’s homepage.
